Prisma Studion kunniaksi videoblogi!

Kiireet ovat vieneet meidän blogimme pienimuotoiseen rappioon, mutta nyt on tarjolla herkkua oikein videon muodossa!

Keskiviikkona 4.2.2015 YLE Prisma Studio esitti jakson liittyen olueen. Kyseisen jakson dokumenttiosuus keskittyy seuraamaan meitä ja poukkoilee muutaman kerran katsomassa olueen liittyvää tutkimusta VTT:llä ja Jyväskylän yliopistossa. Jakson seuratessa meidän tuotekehitystämme jotkin asiat jäävät hieman epäselviksi. Tämän blogivideon tarkoituksena onkin antaa syventävä kuva siitä, mitä oikein teimme kyseisenä päivänä. Lisäksi videolta saa Prisma Studiota laajemman kuvan panimostamme.

Hauskaa elokuvailtaa!

For all of you who helped!

Now that our web site has officially opened I'd like to thank all the people who helped us get here. That's right, we didn't do this alone!

A number of our close friends borrowed us money so we were able to start the company and begin ordering parts to assemble our brewhouse. Also lots of our friends helped us when in certain points of the assembly we needed extra hands for heavy lifting or welding stainless steel. One person in particularly went out of his way to help us especially when our car broke down. That was a LOT of work. Now that I think about it I might have forgotten to pay him back the parts for the car... Darn.., I hope he's not too angry, cause It's not that long a go.., like early summer...

Now, where were we? Later, when the brewery started to take shape we turned our heads towards the wonderful world of marketing and realized that we need graphics, logos and other cool stuff. I can draw I straight line with a ruler, no problem, but drawing a post-apocalyptic scenery with funny robot stealing kegs, shaped like bombs with me in the foreground in proper clothing was a bit more difficult. Also creating our logo, using vector-graphics and our own font was something I wouldn't have had patience to do nearly as well as it was done. Luckily the help was near and two brilliant, beautiful and hot girls took the task. Results can be seen all over this web site! Also a special thanks goes to the brewers in the local beer brewing club, SHOn Panijat. A bunch of them were helping us out when we were testing our new brewhouse for the very first time!

Thank you everyone! There will be something special coming your way as soon as we have time to do it...

Finally!

This is our first ever blog post on our new web site! We'll be adding more information as things progress. Today I want to tell you something extra about how we got here.

After countless hours of planning, paper pushing, googling, drilling and assembling, our brewery took it's shape earlier this fall. Looking back on it, things have gone relatively smooth. We went a bit over budget due to the small delays in the bureaucracy needed for the alcohol production permit. But in the end our crazy goal to build a brewery with 10% of the “normal cost” held pretty well. How we did it was simple, use out of-the-box thinking, mass-produced standard parts, and do all the work ourselves. Being long time DIY-"MacGyvers" helped with the building and living as students helped with the “cheap, but gets the job done” oriented thinking. Building this cheap would not have been possible without the EU because it allowed easy duty-free purchasing from the promised land of stainless steel, Germany.

Stay tuned on the blog for more updates about our first beer and launch party!
